This Tuesday, November 11, is Veterans’ Day, a holiday set aside to honor and recognize those who have served in the armed services.   We all know a veteran so take time this Veterans’ Day to thank him/her for defending us and the great country we live.

Veterans’ Day is a great opportunity to take advantage of wonderful deals at your local malls,

on-line shopping and factory outlet stores.  Whether you are shopping for yourself or getting a start on your Christmas gifts, you can save some serious cash this holiday.  Before  you head out for a day of shopping, however, do your homework first and check out the following list or go to your favorite store’s website to see what great sales are being offered.   Many stores are already offering “pre-Veterans’ Day” sales.  I went shopping on Thursday at a factory outlet mall and many of the stores are offering great discounts/deals on merchandise.  I was able to get a sweater and necklace at the Ann Taylor store, and a sweater and tunic at White House Black Market at 50% off….SCORE!!

. 11, you can grab a free drink at Starbucks or eat lunch at  Applebee’s, Texas Roadhouse, Friendly’s or California Pizza Company for free.
